Legacy Film Festival: Aging

From September 14 to 16, the Board of Directors of Legacy Film Festival will be presenting its 8th annual film festival on aging. To be held as usual at San Francisco’s The Lovely New People Cinema in Japantown, the event is made possible by generous donations from the public.

Together with movie researchers and a screening panel, the Board reviews a variety of film submissions from around the world, to present films which portray its “mission to educate, entertain, and inspire intergenerational audiences about the issues of aging.”  After the movie, a Q&A session is held.  One reviewer described the event as follows:

“The films in the Festival have always inspired me, moved me, cheered me, made me cheer for the people in the films and made me glad to be who I am.”
