Unfortunately, statistics attest to the fact that close to 5.5 million Americans suffer from Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s caretakers such as children or siblings, understandably, have a very difficult time.
In Waukesha, Wisconsin, there is now a care center that is providing a much-needed break to those caretakers. A place is being provided for seniors with Alzheimer’s to socialize and to get other services on a short term basis so that family members can take time to relax on occasion.
