The title of world’s oldest person is a very prestigious one and reports this week there may be some conflict over this.

This shouldn’t be a surprise – record keeping a hundred-plus years ago wasn’t what it is today.

We’re talking about around the year 1900 – a year when The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was written, a year when President McKinley was re-elected and a year when the second Modern Olympics took place in Paris.

A long time ago.

The debate may rage on though for record keeping in different countries still isn’t as accurate. Besides the year, there can also be some conjecture over the actual day.

At the end of the day, age is just a number!
