Words alone can not express my sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the unending kindness, professionalism, and quality of care that Dry Harbor extended to my uncle. The medical staff together with the support team was, in my opinion, second to none.Salvatore P.
Happy first day of Spring, Mommy in Heaven! I couldn't let all the stunning flowers that you received go to waste, so I took them home with me to make small arrangements for the patients at the Dry Harbor Nursing Home where they took such good care of you! Mommy, your beauty will be a part of so many others today, even if they didn't know you. I love you and miss you beyond words! SEE THE FLOWERS HERE.Danielle P.
Dear Dry Harbor Nursing Home, In general, I just want to say thank you for a job well done. My husband (Paul B.) was a resident in April 2016, and his rehab mission was accomplished! Paul went in to get back on his feet after knee surgery, and within a short time, he was up and around. He was always in good spirits because he was treated well and with respect by all of the Dry Harbor employees who were in contact with him. I would like to personally thank the cheerful staff that greeted me each time I visited and signed in. One special lady volunteered her time to help me which I greatly appreciated. It was a simple gesture, but it meant so much to me! I owe a large debt of gratitude even to the cleaning staff. They came in happy, did their job quickly and well, and were always willing to assist with anything we asked. A big thank you to Ted & Anna from the physical therapy / rehab team. They were amazing, caring, effective, and supportive in every possible way. They worked him hard, and because of that, he is now able to scurry about the house again, and he is doing the stairs like a champ. We appreciate the amount of time that was dedicated towards this goal. One of the bigger blessings of Paul’s stay was the 2nd floor nursing staff. They were absolute angels. Glen T., went above and beyond in meeting my husband’s needs, and this was not an easy task considering that there were numerous demands made of her. She addressed every question, gave professional answers, and administered excellent care. It was so nice to feel that she had her patients best interest at heart! The CNA who assisted Paul was jovial, hard-working, and gracious. She performed her duties in a very professional manner. Finally, we want to thank Jaleesa for handling Paul's care and his departure. It was a smooth transition, and your efforts were sincerely appreciated. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!Wife of Paul B.
To the team at Dry Harbor Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, We are writing to commend you on your wonderful facility here in Queens and to thank your nurses, doctors, therapists, and staff for the treatment given to our father. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the love and impeccable care that our father was given over the past month while he was a resident at Dry Harbor. It was initially a difficult decision to place a loved one in a rehabilitation center. However, your countless hours of care and true concern for our father’s well-being made a huge difference in granting us peace of mind and the faith that our father would indeed be getting better soon. Your employees are tremendous assets to your facility, and they each provide excellent service in their chosen careers. Some of the staff went above and beyond to make our father’s life as comfortable as possible. In our observation, though our father was not there long, the nurses, doctors, therapists, and staff that assisted us through the good and the bad in his rehabilitation were not in it for the money but rather because they really love what they do and how much they are able to help each and every patient. We want to thank all of the following individuals and departments for their contributions to our father’s care: YP in admissions, the 3rd floor nursing staff (initials DL, AG, RP, MN, HC, KD, & LM among many others), physical therapist CM, the support team who worked very hard to look for a recliner for us, and the housekeepers who did good work to clean the floor every day. We want to particularly thank BW for her kindness, thoughtful thinking, and warm heart. She worked hard and provided transportation for our family members, a huge convenience which made a world of difference. We will be forever grateful to your facility and all of your employees who have stood by our side through this trying time in our life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!Family of Enpei Z.
To Whom It May Concern, I want to thank you for my stay at Dry Harbor Rehab. The therapists were very understanding & helpful, and they showed great patience in my recovery. In addition, the aides were very good at promptly addressing my calls. I would especially like to point out Ms. Childs. She not only helped me when I was at my worst, but she saw to it that I got what I needed before I even had to ask. She is an angel and a prize among your staff. I would like it if you let her know. Thank you once again.Kathleen S.
To the Director of Nursing at Dry Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, I am so pleased to be writing this after receiving extraordinary care at the Dry Harbor Center. After suffering a near-death illness, the prospect of going for long term rehabilitation seemed daunting given that nothing like this had ever happened to me before. Well, after weeks with your fabulous team of Nurses, CNAs, Physical Therapists, Dieticians, and Social Workers, I am pleased to say that my situation is improving. Special commendation must be given to RNs Riva, Maya, Elizabeth, and Kim, along with CNAs Mary, Marcia, and Daphne who attended to the details that got me back to good health. I am so grateful for the encouragement offered by the PTs Cecilia and Ted. Elza the dietician took good care of my gastronomic demands, and Jaleesa my social worker was always there working on my behalf. There are no words to adequately express my gratitude for all that has been done for me. Please extend my thanks to everyone mentioned and ensure that my assessment is conveyed to the leadership of Dry Harbor. Again, thank you.James C.
